This book WON the 2014 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year award for the Early Childhood sector.
Reasons we love this book:
1/ It's a funny insight into how a child feels when a new sibling arrives!
In this story, Caroline the crocodile is insanely jealous of her new brother, so when her mum is busy, she decides to swap him!
2/ It teaches children that the grass isn't always greener!
When Caroline swaps her baby brother for other baby animals, (thinking they may be better than the baby brother she was given!), she learns that this isn't the case!
2/ The illustrations are a joy.
Andy P Joyner has created such busy illustrations that kept my son busy for ages. Plenty to look at and it's funny, bright and lively.
Anyone know a little girl or boy receiving a sibling soon?
This may be the perfect book to gift them. For ages 3 and up.
